Information Greening

Make the invisible lawn jump out of the background, onto the screen where our attention lives.

An interactive installation built on the idea of “passing.” A lawn is the smoothest evidence of a shaped Earth, the green backdrop we stop seeing. I wanted the grass to jump out of that backdrop and onto the screen where our attention actually lives: as people pass by, the lawn reacts. It is a small argument against plant blindness, and against the quiet ideology that a tidy lawn equals “nature.”
